Ephedra is well known all across the United States, along with other countries. Ephedra Products were first introduced in China over 2000 years ago. It was an herbal medicine that would help treat individuals who were suffering from bronchial asthma, flu, cold, wheezing, along with edma. During the autumn also known as the fall season, the ephedra plant is harvested. It is then dried in the sun and sectioned to be prepared for use.

The old Mike.Temporale.com blog was powered by Telligent’s Community Server. While Community Server may be a good platform for large organizations, it’s not much good for a personal blog. I was running an older version, and I did want to upgrade, however there was no direct upgrade path from the version I was running. There was also no way to export my content from that version.  I had to upgrade to get that functionality and as I already mentioned, upgrading wasn’t an easy task.

Wordpress still continues updating and fixing both minor&major bugs and today they’ve released version 2.8.1 only a month after 2.8. Here are the changes within the new version: Certain themes were calling get_categories() in sucng out of memory when loading the dashboard, resulting in an incomplete page.

Download Here Snip from wordpress release notes: WordPress 2.8.1 fixes many bugs and tightens security for plugin administration pages. Core Security Technologies notified us that admin pages added by certain plugins could be viewed by unprivileged users, resulting in information being leaked. Not all plugins are vulnerable to this problem, but we advise upgrading to 2.8.1 to be safe. I’ve upgraded automatically and it worked flawlessly (again).

It wasn’t two weeks between 2.8 and 2.81. It seems a few things broke. WordPress 2.8.1 fixes many bugs and tightens security for plugin administration pages. Core Security Technologies notified us that admin pages added by certain plugins could be viewed by unprivileged users, resulting in information being leaked. WordPress 2.8.1 is now available for download. In this version, they fixed many bugs and tightened security for plugin administration pages. Certain themes were calling get_categories() in such a way that it would fail in 2.8. 2.8.1 works around this so these themes won’t have to change. Dashboard memory usage is reduced. Some people were running out of memory when loading the dashboard, resulting in an incomplete page. The automatic upgrade no longer accidentally deletes files when cleaning up from a failed upgrade.

Trying to upgrade automatically from wordpress 2.8.0 toł.8.1 just cost me a couple hours. I got the dreaded white screen of death after the upgrade. The process for trying to figure out WTF lugins directory in case there was a plugin incompatibility Disable the plugins in the database in case simply moving the directory wasn’t enough (update wp_options set option_value = ” where option_name = ‘active_plugins’;) Move
